I chose these six lines and designed it into this symbol because in binary code it adds to ... can you work it out? The top line which is on is 2^6  and the bottom line which is off is 2^0. So find the value of the other lines and add them up?

This is very interesting because this symbol occurs in many places in Eastern Cultures. If you look at the first 3 rows and then the last three rows you will notice that trio of solid and broken lines are opposites. In other words this represents the Union of Pairs of Opposites -
Heaven & Earth
Ying & Yang
1 & 0
Fire & Water
Sun & Moon
Masculine & Feminine
Light & Dark
